Woking have set the standard in reducing emissions with a reduction of 80%.

On their housing stock they have implemented a number of innovative energy measures including Combined, Heat and Power Plants in conjunction with Solar Photovoltaic arrays to provide heat and electricity. Following this programme Woking are the largest generators of solar photovoltaic electricity in the public sector.
